Jobs Banqueting Centre Opens in Dundee
Welfare-to-work agency, Triage Central Limited, today (Monday 12 October) unveiled their new and innovative ‘Jobs Banqueting Centre’. The Dundee based centre aims to fill a much needed gap in the market for accessible job searching facilities for those who are unemployed in the area and registered with the Dundee Partnership Employability Programme.
The launch was hosted by the popular television presenter, Dougie Donnelly, and speakers included Stan Ure, Head of Economic Development at Dundee Council, and Kate Carnegie, Managing Director of Triage Central Limited.
After the speeches ended guests were given a tour around the new facility, which houses a number of ‘hot desks’ for people to search for suitable vacancies and areas for them to discuss their applications with fully trained brokers. The centre will have an on-site soft play area that can be utilised by parents who are looking for work. The centre will provide employers with a professional recruitment resource where they can meet with specialist staff to discuss their vacancies and use the facilities to interview potential recruits.
Speaking at the launch, Kate Carnegie, Managing Director of Triage Central Limited, said: “We are thrilled with the success of this morning’s launch event and are pleased to have welcomed so many like-minded guests along. We all have the same aim and that is to enable those who are looking for work with the support needed to strengthen their job search activities and access suitable job vacancies. The new facility in Dundee will provide a professional, warm and friendly environment for this and we look forward to watching the centre develop over the coming months.”
The Jobs Banqueting Centre is funded through the Disadvantaged Area Fund (DAF), part of the Dundee Partnership Employability Programme, and will be run by Triage Central Limited.
