Second Job Event Goes Like a Fair

19 October 2010

Triage held the second of its Jobs Carousel events in Forth Valley on Tuesday 19th October 2010 in the Albert Hall, Dumbarton Road, Stirling between 10.00 am and 3.00 pm and was more than just a fair success!

Local employers were invited to attend, without charge, and had the opportunity to promote their company while being able to interact with, and select from, potential new recruits. Employers got the chance to access a wide talented pool of people, with job ready skills, enthusiasm and a real desire to work. It gave them the opportunity to compress the hiring process by adopting an interview style when speaking with numerous potential recruits over a short space of time in a relaxed and sociable environment.

Andy Paterson from VSG said “Thank you for the invite to the Jobs Carousel in Stirling. It was well organised and worthwhile from our perspective.” Andy is now sorting through the applications received on the day and is optimistic he will fill some of his vacancies.

We received extremely positive feedback back from both employers and jobseekers on the day and the general opinion was it had been an “excellent turnout” and was “well worth the time in attending”.  With 21 employers, from a diverse range of industries and 135 enthusiastic jobseekers attending, a vast number of application forms were completed and 12 interviews arranged, making the day quite literally go like a fair!
